I BLAME COCO

This is Sting's daughter. Saw her last night here in Paris and she was excellent. I even bought her cool concert t-shirt. Kind of tom boy and feisty but so pretty too. Just about to go and check out the cover she did with Fleetwood Mac!

RYAN KORBAN - Mr my-kind-of-guy!! There is one out there omg!!

Ryan Korban
Interior Designer and Co-owner of Edon Manor. New York

Ryan babe, we are a match, where have you been all my life???

I dream of a guy like this who is out achieving what he is passionate about, has this EXACT taste in style, appreciates art, design, music, books, a tattoo here and there and beautiful, international decorative pieces (a lot of what is shot above remind me of some heirlooms which run in my family- naww - see!!). I dont even know if he is gay, single or whatever but i like him, hands down Mr Korban, god even his name is sexy!

J'adore mon travail - I love my job

I am absolutely exhausted but this week has been Fashion Week in Paris and it's been such a thrill to work at. I can't believe I get paid for this. I have been at almost every good show to cap street style for work, out in the blistering sun (day 8 of blue sky weather in Paris). I can't post most of my pictures as i'll be submitting them into SS (work) but i'll post any extras like the above. Blurred but cool ;)

Isabel Marant trainer wedge

I'm also a very lucky part-time nanny/babysitter to a fashion editor who has the most amazing shoes. I took this pic back in October last year and I'm pulling the picture out again with the hope that these little beauties will come to me during the January Sales. I saw a girl wearing the black and beige versions today and nearly fell over the sales table at Galleries LaFayette. Pleaaase be mine.

Intel Visual Life - The Sartorialist

Oh what an fab YouTube find!! I've been so fascinated with Scott Schuman and how he creates his shots. He is so modest and grounded about it and I think it's his charm that just shines through too. Bring on the next few months when it's my turn to shoot some Paris street style for work - I can't wait but I might have to build on my charm skills. No one should ever try and take The Sartorialist's place though - Scott made it and did it first!

ps: I miss New York

HAPPY NEW YEAR

Happy New Year, 2010 was a good year for me. I may have got made redundant, but it only made me realise that it was time to pick up the pieces of my life and put what I love together. I got a bit of new art work created, I started this blog, I went on some amazing trips, New York being one and one I wanted to get done, I also moved to Paris and also got into my dream field of work - Trend Forecasting! I now have started this year with a very nice job, which so far I love and I most recently moved into a really cute little studio in Paris' 1st arrondisement postcode, with white walls and wooden floors and lots of light just as I wanted! Here's to another good year and more Absorbi!!

Best Wishes
Laura
